Dark Beings

I looked into the eyes of what I thought was evil, something I once wished would die. I looked into those black abysses and the lips responded.

"Why do you coware, why must you fear me? You think me a demon sent by the Devil to torture and cause pain? You are mistaken, for I am not evil, though no longer am I good. I was once an angel sent by God to do good deeds and spread his word of Heaven and salvation. I was once an object of purity and innocence, like all that are in Heaven. But I made a fatal mistake while here on Earth. You see, in Heaven, we love but we love all equally, not one angel is loved more then the next. But here on Earth its different. I fell in love with one, and I was punished by God and forsaken. My wings were taken and my halo banished. I was trapped here, stuck never to see the perfection of Heaven again, but made to suffer for eternity by watching all the ones I fall in love with die in their mortal lives."

Once those words were spoken, the forsaken angel walked away and a new feeling of sadness replaced the fear I once held for that dark being.

What Makes A Person

What makes a good person commit a crime?
What makes an innocent guilty?
What makes a nonbeliever pray?
What makes a criminal think twice?
What makes a lover cheat?
What makes a saint a sinner?
What makes a demon save a life?
What makes the devil cry?
What makes an angel lose its wings?
What makes God punish us?

River of Time

What's inside each of us?
Does anybody know?
Do you know the secrets
That I've always hid inside?
In my death
Will my soul be released?
My secrets shared
Set free from my body
Set free from my mind
Will you be able to see
My life story sketched on my face?
What words will be told
On my tombstone
For everyone to see?
Will they represent
The true me?
What beauty will happen
In the place that I'm buried?
Will nature try to run wild
Like my spirit?
And will it forever be tamed
By those that pass me by?
In my death
Will my words be heard?
My poems read?
My habits kept by others?
Or like many good things
Many magical and beautiful things
Will my memories be forgotten
In the ever-flowing river of time?

Forgotten Roots

Shadows in the distance
Only half seen through the haze
Are there humans approaching?
Or is it nature standing tall?
Through the mist that clouds my eyes
I see them together as one
Man, living peacefully with nature
Made in the image of the still figures of the forest
Made to protect
Made to care for
That which is defenseless
Why can't we truly be that way?
One with nature
One with our self
Instead we neglect our home
Our roots no longer stable
Distancing our self from where our roots once belonged
We forget our own history
We're told to make the future better
But in doing so
It is our souls that are forgotten
Our lives diminished
You need to use your lifetime
To make the lives of the future
Greater then the ones now
But when that time comes
The cycle will begin again
The cycle of distancing our self
Until finally
We forget who we once were.

Travel Trough My Dreams

Days of exhaustion
Needing to relax
To find a better place
My bedis a comfort
My secret
Home away from home
I let myself fall into it
It's like a cloud
Tempting me to close my eyes
And when I do
I fall
Into an abyss of darkness
Open my eyes
And I'm on the dark side of the moon
A place filled with utter darkness
But in the shadows awaits
Many mysteries
I see Alice in her Wonderland
Dorthy finding her way home
Ariel looking for love on land
Bella finding beauty in a Beast
Aladin marrying a princess
Flying away on his magi carpet
Away into the night
I fly alone
I spread my wings
And I can go anywhere I like
I see the Northern Lights
The wonderful pyramids of the sand
The vast greenness of the Rain Forest
I go to the depths of the ocean
I swim with the dolphins
Upriver with the salmon
Into the icy waters with pengiuns
I step onto land
And run with the wolves
Becoem the prey we eat
I run away in fear of death
I become free
My wings spread
I can go anywhere I like
To a fantasy land
Full of fairies and magical creatures
I'm at Hogwarts
Battling against the Dark Lord
I'm in the Shire
Helping Frodo on his journey
Walking where ever I like
Through all fifty states
Across the vastness
Of Russia and Asia
To India with there many Gods
To the plains, deserts, and savannas of Africa
I battle alongside the samurai of Japan
Sail in the mighty crafts of the Vikings
Until the journey ends
In a different places
Then what I left
I travel back
Through all that I went through
I stand alone
On the dark side of the moon
I jump up
Back into my body
Back into my bed
The cloud that took me away
I rise from my secret
Home away from home
And I begin a journey
Into the real world
Away from my dreams
My hopes
I travel to find
All the my dreams promised
And find nothing but my real life

What I gave

To the first I gave my soul
To the second received my heart
To the last I offered my body
Now that I've given all
I ask this question
"What is left for me?"

Theres Always a Day

There is a day
Before each time you cry
And there is a day
Before the end of time
And I guess I'm just waitng
For it all to catch up to me
Because my eyes are dry
And I feel the end is near
And I just wish they were here
Cause I need a way out
Of the dust you left me in
And I feel like I am fading
Into your shadow
And I'm melting into a puddle
That you step in
And you hate me for everything
That I went through
And I really just wanna
Walk away from it all
But I'm chained to the ground I stand on
With you always pulling me back
And telling me to stay
But I need to find the day
That I cry
And I need to find
The end of time
So I can finally be on my way
Into the day after I tried
